Episode 24: The Herms

August 1, 2006

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of sitting down at the Latin American Club and chatting with Matt and Chris, two-thirds of San Francisco’s The Herms. Not only do these guys make some uber-catchy indie pop/rock tunes, but they are also very, very funny.

Over the course of the interview, the guys discussed beverages that the band has been compared to, the band’s humble beginnings in UC Berkeley’s co-ops, and shared some, well, let’s just call them “memorable” stories from the road. This was one of our most enjoyable interviews to date and we hope you enjoy it as well.

The Herms have one show currently announced:

Thursday, September 21st
Cafe du Nord
9:00pm

Matt Lutz also has solo project you should check out which will be playing a show next week:

Thursday August 10th
Cafe du Nord
9:00pm

For more information about the band, head on over to their website or their MySpace page. To pick up a copy of their excellent full-length debut Record Machine, or their debut ep The Herms Get Firm, head on over to their record label Jackpine Social Club or pick Record Machine up from iTunes.

See you next week!
