January 14, 2008

Cafe du Nord is the latest venue in the City to offer a single band a monthly residency, with headlining performances by Oakland’s The Lovemakers every Thursday night this month. The band is supporting their Fuzz debut EP Misery Loves Company, which we previously discussed here.

You can visit The Lovemakers at their web site and their page at Fuzz. The band’s January residency shows feature a number of other terrific local groups, including Nyles Lannon on January 17th, Elephone and The Frail on the 24th, and Audrye Sessions and Poor Bailey on the 31st.

All three shows start at 9:30pm and are $10 each.

Check out a couple of Lovemakers videos from the new EP below:

The Lovemakers – “Whine & Dine”
