Two sold-out shows aside, Thursday night is still packed with great shows with plenty of fantastic local bands featured.

SF’s own Kelley Stoltz headlines at The Independent with Grand Archives (Seattle), The Morning Benders and The Weather Underground (LA). This show is just the start of a national tour for Kelley Stoltz, starting in Missouri in March and ending in Illinois in the end of April. 8pm, $14.

New York Indie favorites Stellastarr* headline at the Great American and are joined by Birdmonster, Throw Me the Statue (Seattle) and The Hundred Days. Fans of Stellastarr* are sure to hear some new tunes as the band is currently finishing up the recording of a new album. 9pm, $18.

Throw Me the Statue - “About To Walk”

Bottom of the Hill will be filled with the sounds of Blitzen Trapper (Portland), Fleet Foxes (Wash.), Here Here and Sholi. 8:30, $12, all ages. And for all you comedy buffs out there, New York’s Human Giant will bring their outrageous sketches to the Mezzanine, with music by Voxhaul Broadcast (LA) and Magic Bullets. 8pm, $15-20.
