Uni and the Ding! String Trio CD Release Tuesday

Uni and the Ding! String Trio (a.k.a. Uni and her Ukelele) will be holding their CD release party for the new record As Gold at Helmock Tavern Tuesday night.
The Ding! String Trio, consisting of violin, cello and harp, adds a new kind of depth to Uni’s music, which can take many manifestations – solo with uke, full-band guitar pop, etc. depending on where you catch her. The new songs have a tenderness that only this combination of instruments could produce and only Uni could pull off.
Uni has been quite the globe-trotter for the past few years, and again plans to do a full tour of Europe in May. For a sample, here’s great live video of one of her solo performances in Barcelona:
The band will be joined Tuesday by Agent Ribbons and Tippy Canoe and the Paddlemen. The show starts at 9:30 and is $6.
