Bay to Breakers Battle of the Bands Wednesday

This Wednesday at the Independent, four local bands will compete in the ING Bay to Breakers Battle of the Bands. The winning act will receive $500, Southwest airlines tickets for each band member, and will open for The Last Goodnight (CT) at the ING Footstock Festival on the day of Bay to Breakers, Sunday, May 18.
The bands in the running are The Hot Toddies (Feature Podcast), Pleasuremaker, The Crazies Will Destroy You and Young has Beens. If you vote at the show, the vote will count x5. Otherwise, online voting will take place from April 17 to 23, and the winner will be announced in the May edition of the Bay to Breakers enewsletter On Course. The mix of styles should make for an interesting evening with music ranging from indie pop to afro-beat to post-punk and back around again.
The show starts at 8 and costs $12.
