Bart Davenport Releases New Music Video, A Young One

August 14, 2008

Hard at work after touring and supporting Honeycut’s latest album, Bart Davenport is to release his fourth solo album, Palaces, September 9th on Antennae Farm Records. To give you a taste of what the new album has to offer, Davenport has teamed up with noted Los Angeles photographer/video artist Jennifer Juniper Stratford to create a video for the first single, A Young One.

A Young One – Bart Davenport

This latest album features contributions from many local artists including Kelley Stoltz, Angelina Moysev (Persephone’s Bees), Tony Sevener, and Herve Salters (Honeycut). Although we love seeing Davenport perform in Honeycut, there is no substitute for his amazing stage presence and showmanship during his solo performances. You can help him celebrate his CD Release on September 19th over at Cafe du Nord.

This is like a modern version of “young girl get out of my life” extra creepy. The singer looks like a broke musician who can’t afford dental care and has bad breath. I felt bad for the girl in the video who had to kiss him.

Lovely video! Where do we buy the CD when it comes out in September?
Hey, Jorge Sanchez; did you organize opening events at the Beijing Olympics?

I love this video!! Another piece of inspired and masterful songwriting from the most talented, broke/ uninsured musician I know!! No need to feel sorry for the girl in the video- she is me! I would quite happily volunteer my lips to Bart Davenport again if he should ask!
PS: Jorge, nothing says ” i’m a winner” quite like posting nasty comments on the internet.

This is very pleasant, but rather bland, yes?

I’m a new Bart D fan. Quite talented. Love the video. Am I the only one to notice a resemblance to a young Todd Rundgren here? Both in performance and delivery, not to mention Philly soul. Bart is the new Todd!
