The Dry Spells Sign to Antenna Farm, Play Bottom of the Hill

December 10, 2008
Written by Ben Van Houten

San Francisco’s The Dry Spells are the latest band to join local label Antenna Farm Records, home to high quality acts like Bart Davenport, The Botticellis and Sugar and Gold. The group features members of Citay and the Sonny Smith Band, and their ornate psych-folk definitely bears some common elements with the former group. Check out the layered instrumentation and great harmonies on “Lost Daughter”:

The group’s debut album, Too Soon For Flowers, is expected to be released in Spring 2009, but you can catch the band next Thursday night, December 18th at Bottom of the Hill with Bart Davenport (Feature Podcast), Brian Glaze & The Night Shift, and DJ Lithuanian Prince.

The show starts at 9pm and is $8.

Pretty song! Thanks! Makes me think of a mellower Bodies of Water. I’ll probably check them out on Thursday.
