Two great shows on Saturday
January 23, 2009
I’m going to be attempting to split my time between two very distant shows going on in San Francisco Saturday night – and you should too. Our friends over at The Deli:SF (who are just about to finish their band of the year contest) are presenting a great rock show over at the Hemlock Tavern featuring Low Red Land (one of whom just started a delicious local BBQ company), Ketman (Boston), and Teeeth. If you missed out, Low Red Land kicked off our video podcast series last summer with an incredible acoustic performance on the roof of my house in the Mission.

On the complete opposite end of town, Maus Haus will be headlining their first weekend show over at Bottom of the Hill. We became entranced with their music after Aaron and Jason dropped a demo over at our HQ. With their incredible set at last years Rock Make Street Festival and the release of their first full length album we expect the band to do great things in 2009. Also performing that evening are local favorites Battlehooch and White Cloud.

So to sum it up:
Low Red Land, Ketman, Teeeth @ Hemlock. $7. 9pm
Maus Haus, Battlehooch, White Cloud @ Bottom of the Hill. $10. 10pm
How to make it to both? I’m still unclear – but it will happen.
