The Thermals have gotten the better of me twice recently: first, by delivering some kick-ass shows during South by Southwest that came seemingly out of nowhere to become a festival highlight, then by releasing Now We Can See, a smart-fun-rocking album that may be their best yet.

Live, the band makes more of a blissful racket than any other three-piece I can think of, so you should definitely try to catch one of the band’s Bottom of the Hill shows this weekend. Saturday night’s show is already 100% sold out, but we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away for Sunday’s show, with The Shaky Hands and Point Juncture, WA.
