Free midnight screenings of Björk’s ‘Voltaic’ @ The Roxie

June 25, 2009

Bjork Voltaic Screening
Björk, what can you say about this Icelandic princess that hasn’t already been said. It seems like either you love her or you hate her, and for pretty much the same reasons. Her divisive nature is always apparent whether it’s in her acting or songwriting, and she’s always sure to stir up quite a reaction.

Voltaic” is a compilation of sorts from her latest Volta — the box set includes a CD, vinyl LP, and DVD which more or less chronicle the past two years she has spent supporting the album. It’s being released in the states on June 30th (nonesuch). To commemorate the occasion The Roxie theater is hosting two nights (June 26-27) of free viewing of the live in Paris concert DVD that is included in the package. Both are midnight showings; click here for more information.
