SF’s Jagjaguwar talent Skygreen Leopards release @ Amnesia Saturday

This Saturday at Amnesia Bar in SF (9pm, $8) the Skygreen Leopards will be releasing their new album Gorgeous Johnny (Jagjaguwar) which will only serve to further solidify their retro pop sound. Very much like a Kinks/50’s,60’s throwback, totally refreshing at the same time — which sounds a bit counter-intuitive, I’m sure.

Our local Jagjaguwar representation is made up of two singer/songwriters (Glenn Donaldson & Donovan Quinn), who write and arrange most of the music, and the Skyband, (Jasmyn Wong, Nick Marcantonio & Jason Quever) who all have enough talent among their ranks to warrant a listen.
