Stork Club tonight: Chambers, Make Me + more

September 2, 2009

Stork Club Show
We’ve got a mushpot of music at The Stork Club on Telegraph Ave in Berkeley tonight (9:30pm, $5) spanning from electro-pop to renaissance rock. Supported by Make Me, The Color Turning (LA) and Sister Grizzly, the headlining Chambers is formed by members of multiple Bay Area groups (The Lovemakers, Red Voice Choir, Make Me) on a mission to “to explore their more unusual interests – such as outer space, ambiance and ancient civilizations.” There’s no better way to understand the meaning of this statement than to hear it for yourself:

Chambers – “Constellations”

Sister Grizzly hails from both sides of the bay and identify with classic and wholesome rock sounds, for fans of everything from Guided by Voices to Hot Water Music. Make Me, also out of Oakland, is much less guitar-driven and synthier, and guaranteed to thrill fans of Architecture in Helsinki.
