Sacramento DIY celebrates O:RMF VIII on Saturday

This weekend celebrates the 8th annual Operation: Restore Maximum Freedom festival coordinated by Sacramento/Davis’ community radio station, KDVS. In past years the all-day showcase has featured Thee Oh Sees, Religious Girls and Lucky Dragons.
This year’s wide variety includes The Mantles, Sacramento’s punk band The Four Eyes and the electronic experimental performer Mom. The out-of-town band likely to turn heads is Austin’s YellowFever (Austin), quaint female-led surf pop with the occasional electronic touch. They’ve released with the label mtn.st.mtn, which has pressed vinyl for several Bay Area bands (Thee Oh Sees, The Mantles, The Mall).
