SF bands Dominant Legs, Young Prisms and Weekend perform together Friday night at the Hemlock (9:30pm, $7). The show’s an excellent opportunity to check out three of the Bay Area’s most promising young bands.

Dominant Legs is the experimental pop duo of Hannah Hunt and Ryan William Lynch (former member of Magic Bullets, now also of Girls), who’ve been getting a lot of blog buzz for their demos and supporting appearances on Girls’ last tour. Meanwhile, both Young Prisms and Weekend have been working on new recordings to follow their recent records on Mexican Summer; Weekend’s debut 10″ is available digitally now, with the vinyl currently slated for release this month.

Also performing is Denver instrumental band Woodsman, who released their own Mexican Summer album in late December titled Collages.
