To those without invites to either sold-out Devil Makes Three shows this weekend, here’s another electrifying option: Birds & Batteries host the eclectic Swedish band MOVITS along with Oona (Oakland) at Bottom of the Hill Saturday (10pm, $10).
To describe what MOVITS are doing is still beyond me, but for a start, I’d predict that these Swedes grew up Squirrel Nut Zippers fans while simultaneously vacationing in Jamaica every summer. Fans of Matisyahu would definitely be intrigued by this trio.

Birds & Batteries – “The Villain”
Birds & Batteries are preparing for the busy festival season — their Noise Pop performance will be with out-of-towners Memory Tapes on Feb. 27 and after that, they’ll head out to Austin to play our annual showcase, The Bay Area Takeover.
Birds & Batteries performed their new EP perfectly. It was a great site to watch on Sat. If you’re interested, I did an interview with Mike earlier this month. Thanks always for the great updates!
