Tuesday: Bold Italic welcomes new microhood ‘Mint Slope’
July 26, 2010

One of the city’s newest online culture mags, The Bold Italic, will be partying in the name of the newest “microhood,” Mint Slope on Tuesday, July 27th (6-9pm). Now, the what’s and where’s:
micro · hood – n. A piece of a neighborhood, perhaps only a block or two large, so glorious that it deserves its own name; i.e.: The Mission Mid-20s is a shining example of a microhood.
Our latest microhood discovery is Mint Slope – where Market Street runs through the shadow of the Federal Mint building and San Francisco’s famous fog burns off to reveal all-night eats, artisanal cocktails, travel books, comic books, cutting-edge design, and collector vinyl treats.
There will be party favors from Rare Device, Get Lost Travel Books and Gear and Metamorphosis Salon, as well as limited deals from other nearby business include Al’s Comics, The Orbit Room, Smitten Ice Cream and DLX Skateboards. The event is free, but guests are encouraged to RSVP on Facebook.
