The Shants launch Kickstarter campaign for ‘Beautiful was the Night’

The members of The Shants have been playing together for a year, and to celebrate, they are working to record their debut full-length record. Beautiful was the Night is a title extracted from a Wadsworth poem, Evangeline, and the album itself promises to be a proper representation of the band’s classic Americana.
The band plans on recording the album starting March 6th at Oakland’s Rec Center Studios. To help fund the costs of mastering and duplication, The Shants have launched a Kickstarter campaign, with the goal of raising $1500 by March 8th:
For your donation you will receive a mention in our Kickstarter THANK YOU Video, as well as some of the following prizes: advanced digital downloads of the new album, an EP of exclusive outtakes from the sessions, fancy autographed copies of the album, a limited edition poster, a guest list spot at a show of your choice, DVD documentary of our time in the studio, or even a private house concert for you & your pals.
You won’t be charged if we don’t make our goal, but if we succeed, you’ll get lots of, as we say in South Louisiana, sweet lagniappe!
