Song Premiere: Dreamdate – “Pyramids”; new album out now, release show 3/31/11

We’ve long loved SF’s Dreamdate, a trio with a knack for a winning jangle that’s equal parts garage and indie pop. Melody Walk is the band’s new third album, which was recorded by Greg Ashley, and is out now on Tic Tac Totally. Throughout the record, it’s easy to be sucked in by the great vocal melodies and harmonies, and a sense of immediacy abounds on tracks like “Pyramids,” posted above.
Dreamdate headlines their record release show on Thursday, March 31st at The Knockout (9pm, $6), with The Touch-Me-Nots, Elvis Christ and DJ Full Moon Fever (Hitforce).
