Metal Mother – “Shake”; from debut full-length ‘Bonfire Diaries’

May 24, 2011

Metal Mother - Bonfire Diaries

The musical moniker of Oakland’s Tara Tati is Metal Mother, a darkly-lit pop act that echoes and shimmers with each turn, at times both ethereal and primal.

After releasing the initial In the Bones EP, Metal Mother now boasts the recently-released Bonfire Diaries, which is available for streaming and purchase via Bandcamp. Bonfire Diaries features Tommy Cappell of Beats Antique and Micha Grainger of The Yard Dogs Road Show, and was mixed by Jeremy Black of Apollo Sunshine.

Metal Mother – “Shake”

Metal Mother is scheduled to play Church Key Manor with several other bands (including Emily Jane White and Ash Reiter) on June 12th, noon until dark. More details on the event TBA.

Metal Mother is scheduled to play Bottom of the Hill with Religious Girls on June 21st (9:00 pm, $8, 21+).
