THEMAYS – “High Noon Walker” (TBB Premiere)
THEMAYS are self-described as “a loose collective of drone makers and beat junkies,” featuring Exray’s leaders Jon Bernson and Michael Falsetto-Mapp and a variety of other collaborators, all of whom are affiliated with the Urban Music Program, “an educational utopia for electronic music in the Sunset District of San Francisco.”
THEWORKS is THEMAYS’ second release, a cassette of experimental instrumental hip-hop. The group is celebrating the tape’s release at The Knockout on July 18th (8pm, $5), with additional performances by Airbody, Benito and Elephant & Castle, and DJs Cyclyst, B Maj, Beats Me, Diversify and COF.
