The late rock and roll supernova Jay Reatard is subject of the new documentary Better Than Something, which features an interview with the musician completed only months before his tragic passing and examines his “complicated punk-rock world in Memphis, Tennessee.” Called “riveting, sad, and inspiring” by the AV Club, the doc’s West Coast premiere is at The Roxie this Wednesday, August 17th (7:30pm, 9:30pm showings), presented by Pop/Rox (Noise Pop and The Roxie).
