Sands, Two Sheds play early Amnesia show this Friday

This Friday, January 27th, Sacramento folk band Two Sheds will open an early show for Sands at Amnesia (6pm, $5-7).
Two Sheds’ most recent release was 2008′s EP, but we’re happy to share the group is in fact working on new material. “We’re going to be playing new tunes,” says the band of Friday’s show. “As far as 2012, we plan on releasing a new record at some point, but no official release date just yet.”
Look for the two bands to share the stage too, as the Sheds’ Caitlin Gutenberger is lending some harmonies for Sands’ forthcoming studio effort. “It’s sounding really great,” they say of the collaboration.
Sands released the four-song Sea of Trees EP in June 2011 and you can download it on their Bandcamp page or stream it below.
This sounds like it will be a fantastic pairing…
