Unknown Mortal Orchestra to play free Clift Session on 2/24/12
February 8, 2012
Written by Kyle Fortinsky

Unknown Mortal Orchestra makes another SF stop on February 24th, this time for a free show at the Clift Hotel as part of their intimate Clift Sessions music series (11pm, Free with RSVP, 21+).
Presented by IAMSOUND Records and held in the hotel’s Velvet and Redwood Rooms, Clift Sessions has quietly hosted an impressive list of up-and-coming performers since their first event in January 2011 – including Lord Huron, Cults, Gayngs, and Blood Orange.
An RSVP is required if you want in, and we recommend doing this soon as space is extremely limited. While performances generally begin at 11pm, Clift advises you arrive close to 9pm when the doors open to ensure entry (even with the RSVP). If you’re really on the ball, you can call for table reservations at 415.929.2372. For information on upcoming Sessions and a look at past events, be sure to follow Clift on Facebook and Twitter.
Based in Portland, Unknown Mortal Orchestra released their self-titled, fill length debut last June to many positive reviews and much internet buzz. Check out their recent video for “Thought Ballune,” off the album, below.
