Video: Appetite – “Herbivore”

Sacramento’s Appetite released the excellent, hook-filled Scattered Smothered Covered last summer via Crossbill Records. The newly released video for “Herbivore” visualizes the song’s creative use of loops and unexpected melodic twists. It opens with female dancers in sweatpants slo-mo stomping choreographed moves behind a blindfolded and tied down Teddy Briggs. When he escapes, instead of seducing Briggs (the trope we’ve all been trained to expect), the girls take their dance stomps and beat the shit out of him.
It’s hip and it’s twisted and it’s exactly what we’d expect from Appetite. Have a look. Appetite performs at El Rio on February 28.
