Free Dr. Dog show at UC Berkeley this Saturday

Over the eleven years that Dr. Dog has been making people smile with their music, the Philadelphia quintet has always showed plenty of love to the Bay Area and Northern California. On top of annual multi-night runs at The Independent and Fillmore, they’ve played Treasure Island, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, High Sierra, and will complete our local festival circuit this August when they rock Outside Lands.
So it’s no surprise that UC Berkeley tapped the group to close out their 2012 Cal Day this Saturday, with a free show on the campus’s Memorial Glade at 4pm. No student ID is required and temps are supposed to hit nearly 80 degrees, so consider this a golden opportunity to see some fantastic free music during one of the nicest days we’ve had this year. Victory for everyone involved.
