Chelsea Wolfe – “The Way We Used To”

As previously reported, occult songwriter Chelsea Wolfe will be performing at the Rickshaw Stop on September 12 in support of her new acoustic collection. Now, the album has an official title, as well as a new studio-quality single.
Unknown Rooms is due October 16th on Sargent House. This collection replaces Wolfe’s usual electric guitar and keyboard backing with violas, violins, and acoustic bass, offering a somber, stripped down sound. You’ve seen the Glassroom Session video for “Flatlands,” now listen to the record’s first official single “The Way We Used To.”
Although Chelsea Wolfe and her band have frequented Bay Area venues in the past, this a rare opportunity hear her naked, unaltered voice with her new acoustic lineup. 2013 will see the release of her official third album, where bandmate Ben Chisholm will help expand on Unknown Rooms‘ themes with more electronic elements. Catch Chelsea Wolfe’s headline performance at the Rickshaw Stop on September 12 with support from Crypts, Dia Deer, DJ S4NtA_MU3rTE (120 Minutes), and DJ Nako.
