If you slept on the first wave of July theater showings for LCD Soundsystem‘s Shut Up And Play The Hits, or just want to relive it in all its glory, The Roxie has you covered this weekend. The documentary – which follows frontman James Murphy as he prepares for, performs, and immediately reflects on the band’s final live appearance at Madison Square Garden in 2011 – will screen Friday and Saturday, August 24th and 25th, at 11pm each night. Tickets are just $10 ($6.50 for seniors) and you can grab tonight’s here and Saturday’s here. It’s a very well done film that includes plenty of live footage while bringing to light just how important and popular Murphy’s band was, still is, and always will be.
Shut Up will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray October 8th and you can pre-order it here.
