Violent Change dropping debut EP ‘Suck On The Gun’, record release show at New Parish tonight, 10/22/12

San Francisco lo-fi pop-punk outfit Violent Change is set to release its debut EP Suck On The Gun tomorrow on Melters Records. The EP follows on the heels of the band’s demo cassette that sold out in short order, and it will be fêted with a record release party tonight at the New Parish in Oakland, with POW!, Scrapers, and Die Hard opening.

Violent Change features the solo recordings of Mill Valley-son Matt (aka Gladys) Bleyle, formerly of Bay Area acts Sopors, the ABI YOYOS, and Yankee Kamikaze, and now features Tony Molina of Ovens. Listen to the EP track “Feeding In The Dark”:

You can pick up a copy of Suck On The Gun over on Melters’ website, and listen to cuts from the band’s demo cassette here, courtesy of the City’s Ros Records. Next up for Violent Change is a full-length studio album on Catholic Guilt Records, but no release date has been set.
