San Francisco’s Guy Fox, a group of four transplants from the Northeast, recently released their debut self-titled EP. The band jokingly labels itself “afro-pop-yacht-rock,” but they simply make fun, danceable music with a touch of classic soul, and they are currently recording their next release at Tiny Telephone.

“Recording our debut EP was a huge step for us, as we’ve always been focused on our live act,” explains guitarist and saxophonist Greg Waters. “The process, especially at a place like Tiny Telephone, had a strong lasting effect on our live sound and songwriting process, and we’re looking forward to showing that next time around.” The quartet is slated to headline at Bottom of the Hill on November 30th.
