WHY? may have been founded in Berkeley, but the remaining founders are a bunch of “Ohio boys,” and they have all returned to their home state at this point. But that’s okay, the Bay Area can still lay a legitimate claim to them. So I checked in with Doug McDiarmid, WHY?’s guitarist, while they were down in Austin, Texas for Fun Fun Fun Fest to find out how their new album Mumps, etc. is being received on the road and what they’re up to next.
