Riding the wave of their eponymous album’s success, garage rock outfit King Tuff will play The New Parish in Oakland tomorrow night. The Vermont-turned-L.A. based band’s album has been raved about for its layered rock sound. The way singer Kyle Thomas’s airy-almost-nasally vocals mesh with the serious riffs on songs like “Bad Thing” show that this band (thankfully) isn’t too concerned with the checklist of most garage rock bands.
Also playing are Terry Malts, Warm Soda, and Sam Flax. Tickets are still available, and it’s King Tuff’s only Bay Area show on their current tour. Don’t miss out on these riffs!
Check out “Screaming Skull,” a non-album track out on a 7” from Sub Pop released in October.
