Founded in January 2006 as a way for two music fans to learn about the music in our community, TheBayBridged.com has become recognized as the leading resource for the best in San Francisco Bay Area independent rock, pop, folk and punk music. Through a daily music news blog, weekly podcast, and regular series of live concerts, The Bay Bridged has spotlighted over 400 of the best bands from the Bay Area and continues to discover and promote great music from the best in undiscovered and up-and-coming local musicians.

Every Tuesday, we publish a new episode of our acclaimed thirty minute internet radio show The Bay Bridged Podcast. Each week’s show spotlights a different Bay Area-based group, and features an interview and four of the band’s songs. Our music news blog is updated every Monday through Friday with the latest news about all of the best Bay Area indie bands, including show previews and reviews, photo essays, and our picks for each weekend’s best concerts. The web site is also committed to supporting local visual artists, hosting a bimonthly Artist in Residence who designs the banner that graces the top of the site.
